For this recent redevelopment, S. R. McHugh were to supply, install and maintain all temporary solid metal fencing. The client requested that more secure and hardwearing hoarding was required to demarcate the construction site. S. R. McHugh were tasked with blocking up all existing building entrances for security purposes.
By the late twentieth century, Tavy Bridge was in decline; the overhead walkways, and bridges had become target areas for anti-social behaviour. Due to the previous issues with this area, it was imperative to create the most secure site possible.
